The treatment for pimple spots will vary and will depend on how they look. If you have light or moderate marks, then a few simple home remedies will be sufficient, but if the scars are deeper or bigger, you may have to opt for more invasive medical procedures.

To remove pimple marks, treatment can vary from topical applications such as exfoliation, oil, natural juices, chemical peels or sub-dermal treatments and other medical procedures.

Let’s have a look at some of the natural home remedies that can help you to remove pimple marks.

1. Exfoliate Your Skin

You can use natural exfoliators such as sugar or ground coffee a few times a week to remove dead skin cells. This also helps to get rid of stretch marks.

After exfoliation, it is very important to moisturize your skin with the right moisturizer, such as Vitamin E oil. Rinse and repeat… the more you do this, the quicker you should see results and it will also lighten your acne scars.

2. Use Vitamin E Oil to Get Rid of Pimple Scars

Natural Vitamin E oil will work extremely well, especially if the pimple marks or spots are not too severe. Apply the vitamin E oil to your face and then leave it on overnight to give the oil a chance to penetrate and heal your marks. Don’t expect to see an improvement overnight; give it a few days or much longer.

Apart from improving the texture of the skin and reducing pimple marks, Vitamin E also has other benefits such as anti-aging, moisturizing and cleansing of the skin.

Other oils that could be helpful as well are pure virgin coconut and olive oil.

Vitamin E Oil is also useful for stretch marks.

3. Use Fresh Lemon Juice to Remove Pimple Marks

Lemon juice is very effective in removing pimples and acne scars. The problem with lemon juice for most people is that it will sting or burn the skin, especially if they have a sensitive skin. Instead of actually working, the lemon juice may also have the opposite effect and worsen your pimple marks, but it has worked for many people.

If the lemon juice works, it can remove pimple marks within a week to a month, so be patient. To relieve burning, wash your face with cold water first, since this will cause your pores to tighten and close. You don’t really need a lot of lemon juice for this to work on the pimple spots. If you apply lemon juice during the day, avoid the sun, since it will also cause your skin to burn. Lemon juice is not recommended for sensitive skins.

  • Wash your face.
  • Squeeze out some fresh lemon juice. Don’t use the stuff you buy in the stores. It has to be fresh; otherwise you may not see any improvement.
  • Use a cotton swab or your fingers to apply the fresh lemon juice. Do this every morning and at night before you go to sleep.
  • If you feel a burning sensation, only apply the lemon juice for short periods and then wash your face.
  • If the lemon juice treatment is working for you, you could also drink some of it diluted with water.

Lemon juice is also effective for removing stretch marks, headaches and clearing dandruff.

4. Use Micro Needling to Remove Pimple Marks?

Well, yes. It is basically a cylindrical drum that has small micro needles all over the surface. The needles basically prick and penetrate the skin and works on the deeper layers of the skin (Dermis),  where the scarring actually begins.

Look on the internet for something called the Derma-Roller, which can also be used to remove stretch marks.

The drum is rolled over the skin and the needles basically prick the skin, stimulating the regeneration of the skin cells by increasing the collagen and elastin levels.

The needle technique works because the needles disrupt old collagen strands in the dermis therefore stimulating new collagen and elastin formation. Both are essential for skin flexibility.

It is safe for all skin types, but in order to get rid of pimple scars, it will take a few weeks and months for treatment. Take a look at this video to see how it’s done. This is not for the faint-hearted.

 5. Other Tips

  • Drink lots of water throughout the day. If you value your skin, then this is one of the best things you can do.
  • Use Aloe Vera Gel – This can work, especially for newer pimple marks, but it is not as effective for older marks. Works for a stye as well.
  • For serious scars, you can do a 25% TCA chemical peel. Apparently, it is very painful, takes a bit of time to heal (+/- 2 weeks), but works like a charm. To save cost, you can also do this at home, but make sure that you know exactly what you are doing. Look for it online. Not recommended for sensitive skins.

Fact of the matter is… it is not so easy to remove pimple marks. The best prevention is to treat your pimples as soon as possible, to reduce the chances of scarring. To get rid of pimple scars, it will take time and various methods to see what works for you.
